This is a no brainer! If you need an inexpensive and reliable handgun just starting out or just to plink, this is a good deal. Especially if you can get it tax free in your state.

Some of these deals end up costing just as much when you have to pay a lot for shipping, tax, and FFL transfer fees.

Broke mine in last week. 182 rounds, no issues. Incredibly accurate. Was ringing my 6" steel plate from 25 then moved to 35 yards and still hit it consistently. Great handgun.

Seems like a great price for a nightstand gun or a truck gun.

I had XDs for years. They ran like champs, and gave me none of the problems my Glocks and CZ 75s have over the years (namely, ammo pickiness and FTEs). They were hated on in their time due to the grip safety and being a relatively early "not Glock." The irony is that the grip safety is now likely an asset in the age of appendix carry.

XD series pistols are overbuilt, which while a good thing in a vacuum is also why I moved on from the platform: XDs were very heavy vis-a-vis the gen 3 and 4 Glock. The old XDs were also hard to mill for optics. The only thing I truly hated about XDs and frankly everything HS Produkt makes is that they hydraulically press in iron sights. This means changing them is a massive pain in the ass and requires the hammer of Thor to get them to budge.

I can't speak for this retailer. That said, for $250, this is a no brainier if one is looking for an entry level pistol that has a track record and a company that will fix it should there be a problem.
