Perhaps call them and ask? LOL....
BTW, other competitors DON'T do that as well.
If I am not mistaken Illinois has a lot of 10 round capacity areas which can change shape by the day because of rezoning, annexing, etc. SW has two (main) choices here:
1) allow every single zip code within IL to places orders for anything above 10 rounds than manually check every single order, cancelling many when they are NOT legally per the local municipality then having customers bitch, moan, etc that their $500 is tied up for a week or two during the refund process. (plus all the bookkeeping work dealing with all that crap) Also they run the risk of accidently shipping a non-compliant gun which might cost the company 10's of thousands in fees if they are caught for a paperwork error.
2) Ship only firearms that are legal for every single zip code in the entire state to remove all the above issues and risks. A very common practice on many regulated products, gun related and otherwise.
As a business owner, I can tell you which one I would do regardless of the product. Simple risk vs reward. No conspiracy here....especially considering the company chooses to sell guns so is pretty absurd to call them "anti 2a."
P.S. If you want to create and maintain a master database of safe IL zip codes for 13 round pistol mags and lease that subscription to SW, along with other companies, you might get slightly rich in the process.
Sounds like you need to call your state representatives, not blame the retailer for complying with the law.
SW doesn't ship this to mag restricted states. What a shame. Will never buy anything from them

Ok, I already have this pistol and large mags for it. What's the problem to send it without mags to my state? Their competitors do that
