The Stainless Steel Mil-Spec is built on a full-size frame and slide. The pistol is made from stainless steel, which has a polished finish on the flat surfaces and bead-blasted matte finish on the rounded areas. The 5 inch barrel is match grade and made from stainless steel. The slide features slanted serrations on the rear only. The mainspring housing is the original arched style found on GI issue 1911-A1s, but it includes the Springfield Armory® I.L.S.™ The pistol also has a standard spur hammer and standard grip safety. The single-sided, non-extended thumb safety and short military combat trigger are true to the original 1911-A1 design. The combat 3-Dot sights are fixed, and the ejection port is lowered and flared. Each Mil-Spec comes with a beautiful pair of cross-cannon emblazoned walnut grips that are held in place with slotted grip screws.

I agree. We are hearing less and less of these SA/RRA crybabies. Either they are realizing their Liberal-like whining is doing little to nothing for their cause, or they have finally figured out no one (especially SA and RRA) gives a $hit what they think. We come here to discuss the value of the weapon/item. Yes, tell us if you had a bad experience with it. Or if you can purchase elsewhere at a better price. Or how good the weapon/item is. To me, my SA pistols are just as good as my Glock 21/4. And $100-200 cheaper. Not to mention I like the look and feel better. People earn their spending money. No dumbass should be demanding that people NOT buy a certain brand...as well as LYING that these companies make shotty weapons. Most members know SA and RRA make quality guns. It only makes you look like a moron when you say something incorrect about their product.
Why would anyone want to support/fund their 2nd admendement being restricted ? Also I've seen these sell for $599 which is besides the point . No matter what the deal is , it's never a good deal if they take your money to slowly fund stripping your rights away.

Are you that new to firearms? Pretty sure everyone knows what round capacity firearms have. This will blow your socks off. Did you know they make double stack 1911's? Shocking, I know.

I was shooting the 1911 in the Navy when many of these people (maybe even you) were a dirty thought in your moms boyfriend's mind. Yes, I know they have D/S 1911. But the only ones I would buy run about 2-3X of what I would want to pay. I already dislike the grip on the 1911. The double-stack just makes it worse. My friend has close to 20 1911s. I have shot most of them. Still prefer my XDM. He prefers only 1911s.

Beautiful gun and a great price. I just hate the low round capacity in these 1911s. My Glock 21 and XD Mod 2 45 both hold 13. And my XDM9 holds 19.

Good price, wish the rebate offer was around in '11 when I bought mine. Think I paid around $750 for it at the time. Still one of my favorite handguns, have had zero issues with it after roughly a couple thousand rounds through it since.
I own several SA handguns, and never, never, never, never have any of them ever failed.....ever! So you folks can hang your hat on your morals about selling out the gun community or whatever the hell soapbox you are standing on. But when it comes right down to it I trust a SA handgun to save my life! As long as I come home alive at the end of the day and a SA handgun helped with that I could give a rats ass about their politics. Oh, and they do have lifetime warranties, should you ever have an issue, but like I said, never, ever, ever, ever had an issue..........ever.........ever!
