Re: the sear deactivation lever.
My wife bought me a Shield 9 mm for Christmas 2017.
On the second trip to the range the sear deactivation lever broke.
The gun has been at S&W for repair since February. I've heard you don't actually need the damn thing but it's the principle - a gun shouldn't break.
Google the sear deactivation lever and you'll find it's a quite common problem
It's the only issue I have ever had with a S&W semi-auto and I bought my first one in 1985.
