I pulled trigger and didn't notice the shipping was $50 until it was to late. Anyone else run into this? I actually tried to go back during order and their site submitted order!!! Ughh... Hopefully I can get in touch with them now...

**update**. They responded within minutes to my email and fixed issues which ended up being my fault. These guys are fast as they responded quickly to a question on my last order. I will not doubt them again;)

Sir, You should not have been charged $50 for shipping. Looks like you chose "FFL not listed Alaska or HI", instead of FFL not listed "Continental US" since the order was being shipped to Texas. $50 is our AK or HI rates, which is why you were charged accordingly. Hate to see you cancel your order, we are more than happy to get things squared away for you.

I agree Tayar77. Timing is everything. I had a WW cdi on my list for awhile and I finally noticed SG had the WW CDI 556 version for 745 in stock and couldn't pass it up. It was only in stock for about twenty minites at most before it sold out so they must not have had many. It will be at my ffl on about a week and I'll give my review of it on my YouTube channel. I also got one of the SW Sport 2s from Whitaker back when they were lower than 550. Heck of a deal. Looks like we still have some time for some amazing deals but that could change very soon. Get em while you can.

Sorry just saw this. I picked up the 300 blackout diamond head version. I got it from Sportsmans guide. I just missed them a couple weeks ago back in stock at $750. I would have bought another at that price I love it so much. It's freaking awesome!! I also just missed he WW CDI 556 on Sportsmans guide for around $700 last week which is also an amazing deal!! The only challenge is you gotta catch those deals quick as they only last for an hour or so. Good luck and watch for both those versions as I buy a lot of AR's off gun.deals and those are two of the better deals I have ever seen on here. Basically 400-500 off what buds and everyone else is currently selling them for. Heck they are selling used on gun broker for $1K or even more...

Got mine for $499 here. Be very patient with these people. First off, they never ever ever answer the phone when you call. I tried at least 30 times NO JOKE. Put mine on the sweet lay-a-way plan they have and was having issues. Thats the second problem is that the online payment system would not take my payment at all. Every time I made a payment I would have to email them and then someone there would have to call me cause like mentioned they never pick up. Just very annoying process to have to keep doing. Got so annoying that I just ended up using the lay-away for only about a month, then I just ended up paying the damn gun off so I didn't have to keep that process going. Finally got the gun last Thursday and when I get to take it out hoping it goes BANG!! Really wish they would hire someone for that phone when it rings cause they have great deals.

The $499 was a deal and a half. I also got one. I don't know what happened, but S&W and Ruger seemed to be dumping these cheap and then the Orlando shooting happened, and demand went through the roof, so the supply/demand dynamic changed. In any case, with the political climate the way it is, with the election looming (shouldn't an election be a good thing rather than something "looming"?), the market forces are hard at work and unpredictable. At $549, it's still less than my local dealer pays for this exact model. As I understand it, Whittaker was able to buy at a special deal to get us those prices, and they have been unable to secure the same deal again.

As far as being patient, I did try to call them (to verify your statement) and I didn't get an answer. However, I did send them an email about the gun I'd purchased and they responded within a reasonable amount of time.

I don't know how big or small Whittaker's is, but Hickok45 put out a joke video about how he gets his guns and showed Bud's warehouse. Holy crap! I've also seen a review from KYgunco that showed their warehouse. They sit on a TON of inventory, and with the "stack 'em deep and sell 'em cheap" business model that they use, I can understand how they'd get overwhelmed when they post a really great deal.

What a lot of people don't realize is there is not much money in selling guns. Companies like this are probably making $20-$30 off this deal. I have a local FFL that gets dealer pricing and he can't even by the gun himself for this cost. These prices are solid and it seems like a solid company as well.

Thanks for clairification!! I have noticed a number of very well priced pistols and rifles on your site over the last 5 months so appreciate what you guys are doing! Still a great price on this AR at $550 but you guys were the original vendor to actually hit the $499 mark. So I blame you for spoiling us! I have actually ordered a 10/22 Ruger limited edition from you guys and I'm hoping you still have the Taurus for $184 in the morning. Thanks again WG1988 as I'm very impressed with your transparency. I'm going to try to pick one of these AR's before July as well but I ended up buying a suppressed 300 blackout from hardened arms today. Dang AR's so addicting!! You guys are killing me with all the temptations between this, the CZ 556 on your site, and pretty much everything on your specials page!!!

Even at the price shown it is still one heck of a deal.

Sport 2 is a hell of a rifle

@Tayar77 Great question! The last deal we ran on these were direct from S&W which obviously keeps the price lower. This batch is from a distributor which is why the price is higher. With all of that said, please know that we will NEVER price gouge our customers. Even through the historic times in 2013 our prices remained the same. Lastly, these deal run out at the end of June, after that this gun will have to go back up to normal price of $611.99. $549.99 is lower than normal dealer cost!

Hmmm wonder why these went up. Hopefully
everyone's not freaking out driving up the prices. Just chill everyone and prices will remain consistent. Nothing is going to happened. At least not in next 9 months;). So don't pay more today then you would have last month and we won't screw ourselves. This is still a solid deal but 10% higher then 3 weeks ago.

Still out of stock at Whittaker and DEguns, who knows when and if they'll have more for that price. This is only $7 more anyway. This is the current deal for this rifle. If you would like a solid AR 15 before the next election, this would be a good opportunity to jump on this deal. You can just send a check to avoid CC fee. Buds is like that too.

Got on from Whitaker. Cant go wrong with this Deal. Looked a long time at Palmetto to piece one together, but $512 shipped or $519 shipped, how the hell can you go wrong. Added a Vortex Strikefie II for $149 shipped and 17 mags shipped for $142 totaling $803. Less than that Aimpoint pro red dot $699 and a mount$120-150.....

I bought one from Whittaker a couple weeks ago. Great price and fast shipping. I sent about 100 rds downrange last weekend. These are such fine rifles! Shooting offhand with open sights, 200 yards, at 10" steel gong, and hitting the dang thing often. These M&Ps are such a terrific value. High quality, great warranty.......just suburb.

Wife, Daughter, and I picked up ours today at FFL. Great rifles, damn $499. just don't think they will go lower. FFL said his cost was just a little less, no way he would sell it for this price..

Owned the Ruger 556 and got rid of it. It didn't like steel cased ammo. I own the original Sport and now the Sport II. They both eat up the steel cases ammo and are very accurate. Nothing against Ruger but S&W has been much better for me.

Order placed, looks like the description has been updated regarding the melonited barrel. $512 damn good deal.

The Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport II features a 16" 1-9" twist melonited barrel.

M&P Sport does not have a chrome lined barrel as the description errantly indicates.

M&P Sport II only has:
"... a chrome-lined bolt carrier, gas key and firing pin."

The description on their site says this gun has a chrome lined barrel. I e-mailed them asking for clarification - the barrel is Melonite/Armornite, not chrome lined. Still a good deal.

Ok I think you're right, it looks like 10202 has chrome lined and 10202W has melonite lined. Like you said, general consensus seems to be melonite is more desirable so I lucked out on getting that one it appears!

Tell me about it, hehe, this is now AR #4 for me. Couldn't pass up the price, lifetime warranty, chrome lined barrel and mbus rear sight.

Quick question, any differences between this listing (10202) and the other that popped up yesterday for 10202W? I actually ordered the 10202W one because this one is now showing out of stock. Descriptions are identical for both, but the part numbers are different.

i dont think it has a chrome lined barrel. i know that the description in the link says it is, but i think its nitrated or whatever S&W calls their process. i think a nitrated barrel is better than a CL barrel (unless your shooting corrosive ammo which you wont find in this country)...its harder and more accurate. as far as the "W"...idk...maybe for Whittaker...again idk. but like you said, one cant pass up the price and the S&W quality. i cant believe they are still in stock. now, im thinking about putting one on lay-away...i just need to stop
