Currently selling for 56.99 at opticsplanet.com with free shipping. Use coupon code NET11HG to bring your cost down to $50.xx SHIPPED. Rebate takes another 30.00 off, meaning you can get a semi-decent hunting scope that should handle .308 type rifles just fine for about 21 bucks. Lifetime warranty on the scope so if it dies on you, get it replaced!
... and as I expected, Simmons/Bushnell rejected my rebate with one of the reasons "Purchase price too low / cannot be determined".
Time to contact Amazon support.

NOT A DEAL now. It WAS a deal 3 days ago. I bought 3.
I know they suck........ But dicks has been advertising this scope the last few weeks for $9.99 after the MIR. So they must know simmons will honor it or there will be thousands of pissed off customers.
MIR is only valid if the purchase price is $49.95 or more, this is listed in Simmons coupon rules!
If someone buys it for 46.39, he/she will get stuck with the full price.
If someone buys it for $51, he will get it essentially for $21.
I think it's the list price and not the actual sale/purchase price. I kept a screenshot and if they don't honor the rebate, I'm sure Amazon will since it clearly shows the price after rebate on their website.
Please double check MIR conditions - I think the purchase price must be at least 49.95 to be eligible for MIR!
I already hit a "Report" button (don't know how quickly it can be checked/fixed), but just be cautious - otherwise you might get stuck with a full price instead of buying it somewhere for $5 higher price and getting a rebate...
Gander Mountain had these yesterday (12/05) for $20 after MIB... Had 22 Mag one too.
I got 2 of these for 49.95 each on Amazon while the rebate was happening. So once I get the rebate it will be 19.95 each. Really good deal.
The reason I bought this scope has nothing to do with the price though.
I bought it because for some reason while I was at Academy looking at scopes this one had a perfectly clear picture and I did not have to be 1/2 inch away to see really clear. For me this works out perfect on an AR-15
I mounted it on top of my carry handle and went to the range. It was easy to sight in and it has held 0 through 2 trips and 200+ rounds.
I like this scope more than my Vortex that cost 5 times as much. It's one of those things that just works.
For the money it is well worth the 49.95.
I used to be crazy about rebates...but i'd rather spend $10 more and buy a different scope than have to hunt down a $30 rebate.
Misleading - rebate form states that scope must be $49.95 or greater.
F these rebate scams! Give rebate at time of purchase like other reputable companies. No small print tricks and if or but loops.
