if you don't have the money to get an HK("Heckler & Koch)-.223/5.56($3000 or more)....or a Daniel Defense-.223/5.56...($1800 or more) this is a GREAT CHOICE...I was going to get one based on the $749 Price but I already have a Smith & Wesson M&P Sport II -.223/5.56 ...if I didn't ...I'm getting this! You can't go wrong for the quality ur getting with a Sig
Most don't shoot enough to warrant the small gains from H&K or DD. Buy a decent AR and train with it.
I'm looking to buy my first M15, Female 5'5" height so petite gal but not tiny. I've heard good things about this M400, anyone out here with experience? I'd just like it for some fun on the range and not break the bank. I'm the type to keep my weapons for a long time. I'd like to be able to upgrade a forward handle and sights. Don't want anything too heavy.
Can you with experience give me your thoughts please?

You have both been very helpful. I won't shoot it enought to warrant the DD or H&K. I'm not looking for competition sport either. I just enjoy shooting. I have the money, but it wouldn't be worth spending so much on a DD or H&K for my uses. I really appreciate both of your insight and expertise.
