Police later ran their own test that included 50000 rounds. Finally, a NATO test against major manufacturers from Austria, German,y and the U.S. ran 90000 rounds with the SAR9 the clear winner. However, the SAR9 has more to offer than just toughness and reliability. The lightweight polymer-framed, striker-fired, 9mm, SAR9 points naturally and is a pleasure to shoot. With a choice of three insertable back straps to customize fit, a low barrel axes to grip ratio to lessen muzzle climb, and a 20-degree grip angle providing the superior control and fast second shot recovery accuracy is built in. Couple these features with a safety trigger that is smoother than a double action revolver and the SAR9 becomes the perfect carry pistol when you want a round in the chamber.

You will NOT find a better pistol for under $200, heck id go as far as saying under $400. These pistols are the BEST value about on the market today. They truly are everything the description says they are. I own a dozen of these and other SAR9 versions as I use them for issuing to my armed guards, within my Private security company . I spent months testing one of these before deciding to making them my company's go to duty pistol. They truly represent the best value for money. As a firearms instructor I spent weeks at the range, testing, shooting, running drills, and running various ammunition offerings. With every trip, I did not have a single gun related failure of any kind. This is no exaggeration, it is fact. I used to issue Glocks but they cost much more money and had very little customization for different sized hands and preferences and terrible triggers. The SAR9 trigger is much better than the Glock and many other comparable pistols. Personally I carried a HK VP9 which I still love and these are VERY similar in the way they feel and the customization ability with the various grip panels. I even dare say the SAR actually was better in a couple area's and such as felt recoil and even accuracy. Bottom line the SAR lineup cannot be overlooked by anyone in the market for a quality self defense pistol.
Buy a SAR and you won't be SAR-y, solid as a rock, quality machining and finish, dependable as an AK, value for the dollar is incredible.
