Had mine for about a year now and assorted ammo at 1500rds eaten so far and no issues. Best 22 pistol on the market atm imho.
Annita if it's a pistol or nothing SR22 is a great starter pistol. Very light recoil, simple to take apart and clean, good size and solid safety, not picky about the type of 22lr in shoots. But "I" would start him off with a 22lr rifle (like a ruger 10/22) for a first gun being used for training and safety. But that's a judgement call for each parent to make.
I want to know if this is a good gun for a ten year boy?
GrabAGun is a great dealer as well, received this in 2 days to my FFL.

SR22PB -- RUGER ---- Well done, Other manufactures -- stand up and take notice. This is a fun shooter. I do not own any other 22 pistol. But I have shot others, and they were finicky. Good shooters if you feed them what they want. But for overall satisfaction. Hands down this is one dang good pistol. It shoots much better than I am capable of. ( Maybe I drank too much coffee before shooting it? ) Easy to take down and clean and put back together.

My Gun's Not For Sale.
Was at a gun show tonight and saw a lot of people looking at my new SR22PB.
I even have one guy trying to buy it off of me! Sweetness!
I received mine on Monday. Still haven't had a chance to get out and shoot it, and I cannot stand the anticipation!!!
That's how I was when I got it. Didn't have to even Break It In;
works great straight out of the box from factory...like it's supposed to.
I'm really curious to see how other people's experiences are with this gun.

With cheap Federal Bulk ammo from Walmart, No failures what-so-ever!!!
I was flying through my targets! This pistol is a "TACK DRIVER"!
Anyone else have any experience with this pistol, any issues?
