The LCR kicks the Airweight's ass every which way but Sunday. Best DAO trigger I ever worked on any gun. Period. More accurate right out of the box, and don't forget the fiber optic front sight. That is where the price differfential lies.

The Hogue grip on the LCR also sets it apart from the plain jane S&W grip. The LCR's design does reduce recoil and muzzle flip.

I shot both, back-to-back, so it was no contest.

I wish the price in these was more competitive (cheaper) with the 642/637 families of S&W. Currently, you can get the S&W for not much more, sometimes less than this. Imagine if these came down to the $300 mark how many they'd sell! But that might be at a loss by that point. It's a shame, I love Ruger.......but I'm gonna go J-frame if given the choice

Sportsmans shipped this Fed Ex 2 day for free to Alaska. Couldn't have asked for better service from them. The revolver is pretty sweet to!

Of everything i have read. This pistol is outstanding aside from the fact that some consider it ugly. It is light (almost the lightest). The trigger pull seems to be much better than any other single actions. Some find it ugly. I find it in between. To hold it, this thing reals right!!!! Bottom line...I will tell you this. 2 weeks ago this deal presented itself and i opted out because it expired. Its my g/f's bday and her 1st gun was to be this. Being the deal expired, i opted for something else. This is the best deal on the web. Pair this gun with a lasermax from amazon and your good to go.

How does LCR compare w/ S&W 642 or 442 or similar j-frame .38 special?
