If it was around 400 i would actually consider it. Dont see a reason to get this over the R50 or AR57 as it stands.
The AR-57 upper alone runs about $600-650. I owned a 12" upper, and sold it after about 300 rds. It is reliable, and reasonably accurate, but the overall quality is nowhere near a Ruger product. The AR57 is made in Turkey by Panzer, and there is zero customer support. I don't know what you would do if you had a problem with it. I am glad to be rid of it. I don't have any experience with the R50, but it would be my preference over the AR57 if you want the 50rd mag. That 50rd magazine on the AR57 & R50 are awesome fun at the range. The Ruger LC can't match that (20 rd, I think).
The price here is $679, youre paying similar but you only have to store half the gun, doesnt need its own lock/place in the safe if you have kids or shitty gun laws, doesnt need its own accessories when it comes to what your favorite grip/stock/cheek piece/brace/safety lever/trigger
Those are benefits. Its grossly oversimplified to say "you pay the same money & only receive half the gun".
I appreciate you sharing your experience with the AR57 though in terms of reliability & precision, & yes the P90 mags are a great boon over this. Taking your input, im favoring the R50 or a P50 with brace.
