Pretty sure these are made in china. Please do not buy any TQs made anywhere but the US. I have seen many Chinese TQs fail. Pay a bit more and get a NAR TQ.

In what circumstances have you seen many Chinese TQ's fail?

A STB course I took a month ago used a Chinese CAT knockoff as a demonstrator, and we all got to witness its windlass stitching fail as soon as a modest amount of tension was added to the system.

It's wild how much effort these companies will put into making their knockoff life-saving devices look real but they won't send the extra penny or two it costs to make them out of quality materials.

True! i bought a few TQs from the Wish ap few years back just to use as a training tool. I was pretty amazed at how thin the ribbon is that is attached to the windlass and couldn't believe people actually buy these without knowing the difference.

I've seen a bunch of Ukrainian combat POV videos taken by medics trying to patch up combatants using Chineseium TQs. most of the TQs fail and snap at the windlass. One video showed the medic using 6 TQs on one person. All broke and the combatant ended up bleeding out. Spend a few dollars more and buy American made TQs. Im also a CPR/FA TACMED instructor.

Thanks for the verification. I agree and only use NAR CAT's. I was wondering how a person could witness Chinese TQ's in action. So actually, we don't know the fails were Chinese made, but obviously a poorly made brand. Far too many recommendations on this site are based on hearsay from inexperienced bargain hunters. I appreciate your instructor status.

Thanks. I do agree with you. If all you can afford is the Chinese TQs then at least its something and better than nothing.. Wish i could find the video and post it on here. Its on Reddit somewhere.
