For all you watchers, this is back in stock (12/27) and ssg80 still works in cart.
Was blown away after checking it out at the PA store in Houston, and I really can't wait to get it mounted. Kind of breaks my brain that this good of a 1x is available for <$200 and people willingly pay multiples more for something else.
Ordered several from Simmons. These are new. If you received a used one then contact the company. That's what a normal person would do not post their grievance without giving the company a chance to rectify.
It seems like Simon Sporting Goods who offered this deal, sends refurbished items without disclosing it.
I just received my sight, and it has multiple marks that suggest previous use and installation. There is paint on the adjustment rings that cover scratches after adjustment. Also, the body of the scope, mount, and white paint (that says UP, CLICK - 1.0 MOA) look dirty and have minor scratches too.
And I would disregard all that, but the dioptre ring is not movable. I know it's stiff, and I used a rubber ring attempting to loosen it, but it fills like it's glued and doesn't move at all, which makes it literally useless, especially with a magnifier.
I should pay $220 and get one from Amazon
Can you email me at [email protected] with your order number and I will send you another unit as we definitely do not sell refurbished units as new and will send you another right away. My guess is that this unit was in our gun case or on a display gun and someone pulled it when they shouldn't have. There's no reason for you to not be 100% happy with purchase so please shoot me an email so I can get this fixed for you asap.
It keeps saying that it's on sale for $199 but it will only price at $269 even when it's added to the cart.
