Just got a G17 kit from them. Contains all the parts and is an amazing deal. My only complaint is that the trigger is really gritty, but that's to be expected with a Glock.

Can I use a g19 gen2 slide on this?

The P80 frames are compatible with Gen 3 parts.
Some have tried using Gen 2 slides but most I've heard of run into tightness/fitment issues. Not saying you couldn't make it work, but I wouldn't recommend it, and it would probably void the P80 warranty -which they actually do stand behind.

I thought this was a neat idea, but the uppers seem to cost more than an entire new glock 19. I dont get it...

It's a Ghost Gun! No waiting, No Background user Tax, No FFL Transfer Tax and No State Tax, unless company is in your State. The Gov has no idea you own a weapon., as it should be! Not sure how you get more expensive than a new gun? You can get a slide, Threaded Barrel, and oem parts, for a complete upper for Under $320 if you shop around. Buy used mags or Some KCI's and be well under a new Glock.

I'd go the Full Size G17 route myself. Can get a Poly 80 from Midway shipped for $119.99 with code 99FREESHIP081218

Difficult to put together? Just got a Gen 3 22lr glock 19 conversion kit and would be nice to have a separate lower. Anyone try this with the Advantage Arms conversion kit?
