Mossberg SA Tactical Turkey 28 Gauge 21" 4rd Semi-Auto Shotgun, Mossy Oak Greenleaf - $665.47

I have 28's but don't use 'em for turkey. The latest tss loads and chokes in autos have made big improvements though and they are very effective, although the improvements apply to all the gauges. Range, load and choke selections are critical. Personally I like the 410 for sensitive shooters at ranges under 40yds. I use a 3" 12 auto as the recoil doesn't bother me and I am always assured of a kill out to 50 if I misjudge range. I don't own Mossys but like you said I think the SA and SA-459 are the same gun. Mossberg has a 1yr warranty and Weatherby has a 5. I try not to buy guns from the Republic of Turkiye but own an SA-459 as my dirty turkey gun and in fact posted the deal for the $350 Gunprime gun. The Weatherby SA-459 at $350 is a steal. The Knoxx stock can be adapted if the shooter is bothered by LOP or recoil. I personally have no use for a dedicated 28 turkey gun as the 12 is more versatile.
