Yea, I would keep a firearm in case for home protection. Most people that buy a pistol grip shotgun would buy it for home protection. There is not much else you can do with a pistol grip shotgun. You dont go duck hunting with it. The shotgun is still a great gun but why buy a "just in case" shotgun when it will take you 10 to 15 min to put it together from the bag. Moreover, how many times do you need to transport a shotgun in a "low profile situation." I only go to the gun range. Then I dont want to sit in the field putting a shotgun together. That is why it is a stupid design. It has nothing to do with the gun. If you keep this shotgun in the bag then you cannot use it in an emergency situation. As a former law enforcement officer and a former US Army Armor Officer you should be prepared for most emergencies. If someone comes into my house, I do not want to take time out to put together a "just in case" pistol grip shotgun.
Dont buy this shotgun. It has the dumbest design. If you put the shotgun together, you cannot put it in the fancy bag. I bought this shotgun and was angry at the stupid design. Who wants a just in case gun if you have to put it together with tools before you can use it.
buy this shotgun. i own it and love it. the case is excellent for storing or transporting in low profile situations. i'm not sure who would keep a firearm in a case for home protection so it really isn't an issue. i would have respected the other posters comments about this product if he had been addressing issues concerning the functionality of the firearm.
