Description

Put A Folding Stock On Any AR-Pattern Rifle! Law Tactical's steel adapter enables installation of a folding stock on any AR-15 to create a smaller-profile rifle for easy deployment from a vehicle or transport in non-permissive environments. Works with standard gas impingement OR gas piston system. Accepts A2, mil-spec M4-style, and commercial carbine receiver extension tube and almost any stock that fits them. Compatible with all standard bolt carrier groups, including full-auto and .308 size. Single-button operation for quick folding and unfolding and steel locking latch keeps stock securely in place when extended. Gen3-M has a lowered hinge to avoid interference when charging the weapon, and a setscrew keeps the adapter securely affixed to the receiver. Hinge tension is adjustable so you can choose how stiff the folding mechanism is. Includes special bolt carrier extension (no tools to install/remove). Current version utilizes standard buffer retaining pin and spring. Stock adapter features Ionbond DLC coating.

220 to make your stock fold? It would be cheaper to bend my sba3 and then buy a new one when I feel like retracting it.

Does anyone know if this will work on an AR9? Specifically a PSA AR9

@all the ppl saying it's worth 30 of under 100...you clearly have never used one AND OR you have never used literally any other option. They're all crap. Law's is perfect. Holds up, works really well, easy to install. There is a reason it's spendy and that's due to it being the only good one on the market AND the quality/durability. All the 30-150 options out there break easily. Your "it's worth 30 dollar" comments just make you look stupid.

I'd be in at 100. It's not worth 220 to me.

People who call this a $30 part are insane. Obviously they’ve never used one or touched one. It’s worth every bit of $220 and more. Also think about what it does and what it could do if it failed. Stick to airsoft parts range warrior.

Machining steel is a lot harder and takes a lot longer to do them Aluminum, I have had the aluminum one of the competing brand (copy) And its junk, The aluminum locking lug on it broke the 4th time I closed it. That is why Law tac Makes this in steel instead. A cnc machine could make 20 to 100 of these in aluminum in the time it takes to make one steel, Need to take that into account. If anything the other brand is way over priced being as its made of Aluminum and not near as well.

Coming from a machinist.. more like 3:1 not 20:1 or laughably 100:1 you'd have to make it out of stellite

Yeah right, The speed you can run on aluminum, With the far less tool changes would be 20 to 100 times. And the aluminum ones are not all machined like the law's. The speed you would cut the Hardened steel law Tacticals at would be easy 20 times slower, Then with the added many more tool changes, Being ignorant is not a plus!

I just don't want one bad enough to pay $100+ too much for it...
like most i'd get one at $75-$100 but not at $200

$199 is the best price I’ve seen on this so far for the year. It’s been reposted as a deal at $209-219 numerous times.

As much as I want one, I just can't get on board with that price. I have no problem paying a premium for a quality American-made product. With that being said, it's worth probably $75, so I would pay $100-150 for it. Over $200 is just absurd. I'd rather just buy an upper receiver or tax stamp on a suppressor than have the novelty of a folding stock on my pistol for $200+.

Shark Tank would lose their shit, or maybe they'd get a deal given the potentially insane margins.

Deal does not work! Brownells just raised their price on this to $229.99, so it only brings it down to $209.99. Still not to bad for what you are getting.
Hell, I’d rather pay a few $ more and get something worth a shit!

too expensive!

The comments on this item are literally making my day. All I read is, QQ I can't afford it. QQ it's too expensive. To all you whiners, go research all the cheap knock off alternatives and see how many rounds they generally fail after. Not only do the cheap Chinese knock off ones break but, the Sylvan arms version is also prone to breaking. There are so many comments saying they'd buy this item for $100 but, I don't see people complaining about the SBA3 braces selling at $100 on sale and they are made of plastic. This is an American made product, that if you've ever actually handled in real life and not just looked at pictures of, you'd realize the craftsmanship and materials alone warrant way more than a $100 price tag. I agree with Viral, if it's such an overpriced item that is so easy to make out of quality materials with American priced labor then why don't you all make and design a more affordable, better option. I wonder if that guy who commented 3 years ago is still waiting for them to go out of business?

They're patent pretty much tries to claim the invention of a folding stock adapter. Although they have not been first but i guess the design is incorporated in.

Just installed one yesterday. Well made, less expensive than Amazon for sure. The only drawback is the extra weight added by this adapter. It screwed up my LE6920 overall balance and makes harder to hold the rifle steady

Why doesn't everyone complaining about the $200 price just make their own For 1/2 that? If you did you could even sell it for $150 and make a profit? It can't be that hard, right?

I have gen 3 law Tactical for my 10.5 AR pistol makes it 26+” overall there is 0 play it is solid I have 0 worries about it breaking in face it is more robust then lost folding mechanisms I’ve tried and seen on other guns. Yes it folds nicely into a backpack to and deploys quickly

I own one. I bought it @ ~$189 shipped if my memory serves correct. I had some skeptical friends and doubts of my own. I like it for my pistol. Little to no flex or play, quite solid. Install was simple. I have it on my 8" 300blk pistol with brace. A nice unintended result of adding it was an increase potential length of pull, which could helpful in using a brace. Will update with any failures.

I tested the Chinese knockoff. Worked great for about 60 rounds, but then the locking mechanism failed.

So I'm buying this now.

I tested a knock off as well; 40 delivered. I wanted to see if I liked the layout and function; which I did, but after a little over 100 rounds, the locking mechanism failed on me as well.
I still think that the real part is a bit overpriced; some wil agree others will disagree with me on this.
I liked the cool factor of it; but just not enough to drop 200 beans on it.
I can get quite of bit of reloading supplies for that 200 and enjoy more shooting time. BUt that's just me.

I love the way you guys beat on LAW for over pricing their proprietary product! This product isn't priced high because it's made in the USA. It's not priced four times what it should be to proved generous markups at manufacturing, wholesale and retail. It is priced this high because they can sell them at this price. For every 10 of you that won't pay this rediculous $200 their is one guy that will. With that said, I won't buy a darn thing made by LAW Tactical for over pricing their proprietary trinket.

not trying to defend this product or pricing, but being pissed off about the price is kind of silly. do you guys whine about handguards costing $200-250, buis for $200, little bolt catch or mag release extender for $20, BAD safety lever $80, optic mount $100-150, UBR stock $250, etc? yeah, i know you can shop around and find sales or cheaper alternatives. but the point is prices for a lot of AR upgrade parts are fuckin ridiculous so im not sure why people are singling this one out and so pissed about it.

for the record, i personally feel this item is overpriced. but i feel that goes for most of the other ar parts and accessories out there too.

I agree with you. Most AR "trinkets" are way over priced; which is why I don't have any of them.
The only trinkets on my AR's is an amby charging handle. I bought them at a gun show, $20 a peice. The real ones go for over 50 each.
I've stopped buying PMAGS, not because they are over priced per say, just that I can get more miles for my dollar if I get used GI mags. I bought 3, almost new, very serviceable, surplus GI mags with the anti tilt followers for the price of one Pmag. The guy was selling them for $5 each, I talked him into 3 for 12.
I understand why USA made items cost more than their CHICOM equivalents. But certain Items are overpriced regardless of where they are made.
But Having said that, I did buy a knock off LAW device, to see how long it would last. I paid about 40 for it delivered from China. Was very easy to install. Lasted about 100 or so rounds on my 300 BLK 10.5" pistol. Was made of some sort of velveeta cheese aluminium pot metal. Did not rattle or move much at first. But after about 100 rounds it was very loose and then stopped locking closed. When I went to remove it, the part actually cracked at the hinge as if it were made of hard plastic instead of metal. Waste of money for the part, but a learning point, a lesson on how the real part would fit and if I would like how it functions. If I did not think that 200 was too much, I would certainly buy one. Maybe if it ever hits 100. again that's what I see as a reasonable price for this part. others will think its work it at any price, others will say it's a useless item even if it were free.

Both DHgate and Ali express have "airsoft" copies of the gen one and or two for approximately $30. Don't personally have one so I cannot attest to the quality, but the reviews I have seen have been very good.

I am going to build a 7-8 inch ks47 (already have .300 blackout, want to try something half the price) with this and the Dolos.

If anyone caught me buying this for $200, be kind and help me put it on my rifle. Then take my rifle, chambered a round, point my rifle at my head and squeeze the trigger. You would do me a big favor, i would be too crazy and a danger to myself and everyone else.
