Beyond the barrel length and grip, the Heritage Barkeep Boot delivers the familiar operation and quality construction of the Rough Rider series single-action revolvers on which it is based. The firearm includes a .22 LR 6-round cylinder and is also compatible with an interchangeable 22 WMR cylinder (not included). This includes a hammer firing system, manual safety, classical notched rear sight, and black oxide barrel, frame, and cylinder finish. This Barkeep Boot model is offered with custom wood black grips. If you're gonna buy one at least get a more functional revolver. Battlehawk armory has the 6"model with wood grip for $100
I own 2.of.that particular model just as range toys
I've found them to be a great gun to teach my grandkids about gun safety and how to shoot properly. They always ask me when can we take Papa's"cowboy guns" to the range or while camping. I have them in a nice old school gunfighter leather belt and drop holsters. They fit the bill perfectly and we always have a lot of fun
I also have the .22 mag cylinder for when they get a bit older and with experience
You can't go wrong really if you buy the more functionally reasonable models. As always this is just my opinion and my experiences. I am not trying to sway anyone, afterall this is America and we have the right to choose and buy whatever your heart desires!
Depending on the bar you might need to step up to a big bore, if you can find a good used one.
