Some prefer the extra padding of the Testudo, but to many, the Testudo Lite Gen 2 is easier to put on, wear, and take off by virtue of its reduced design.The essentials remain in an upgraded form. Better shape. Plus Quick Detach System buckles to make maneuvering in and out of the carrier even easier. We favor 500D Cordura for its balance of flexibility and durability, and that makes up the majority of the carrier. The shoulder straps are made of Hypalon. This kit is one of the first to feature the next generation of armor carriers, the Testudo Gen 3. It closely resembles our supremely popular Testudo Gen 2, but with an upgrade: the Quick-Detach Buckle System. A cummerbund is great for its precise adjustability; pull it tight to fit you exactly. The downside is that it takes a bit longer to take it off. The QDS fixes that. Pull a cord away from you and the carrier will open on that side for quick removal. The A1 Armor Plate is able to stop level III+ threats such as 7.62x39/7.62x51/5.56 M193s, and .223/.308 WIN rounds. Unlike ceramic or polyethylene material, this custom steel alloy blend is able to take several hits from these rounds without fail. This multi-hit special threat resistance is the distinguishing quality of the A1 plate. The Frag Wrap is made of Durastretch, a heavy-duty elastic material, with a p-aramid envelope in the upper 33% of it. Simply drop your steel plate in the wrap and put it back in your carrier. This design will mitigate any fragmentation from exiting a plate carrier in an upward trajectory that could otherwise be redirected towards your arms and neck.  The Multi-Caliber Triple Rifle Magazine Pouch can carry three rifle magazines in three pouches sewn together for easy accessibility. Its size is compatible with magazines of ammo such as 5.56x45 (.223) and 7.62x39 AK. Our General Purpose Pouch is a rugged, 6.5”x6”x3” MOLLE-compatible pouch large enough to store most smaller items like GPS, small binos, and even candy bars. Comes with an internal divider and elastic for securing things like chemlights or for use as dummy-cord anchor points. The zipper opens 1/2-way so your contents won’t dump all over the place, and the pouch comes with a Velcro® patch panel for your blood type, motivational, or other patches. Comes with two long MALICE CLIPS® to attach to your MOLLE-compatible plate carrier, backpack, chest rig, etc.
