The Explorer Covert Range Bag is one of the most versatile and roomiest range bags you’ll ever see. This low profile bag is equally at home on the range or doubling as a duffle bag at the gym, thus the name Covert! Handmade to exacting standards, with double-stitched load-bearing seams and cross-stitched reinforced paneling on all exterior and interior compartments for long-lasting strength and durability. Speaking of compartments, this bag boasts eight compartments total, most of which are secured by exterior double-locking heavy-duty #10 coil zippers.

The main compartment can be locked directly by way of the interlocking zipper sliders. These industrial-grade YKK coil zippers can be shackled together via padlock for the purposes of storing the bag safely beyond prying fingers, or for legal transport in those states requiring your gear be lock-secured. If you’re looking to haul a whole mess of hardware, accessories, ammo, and tools down to the range with you and would rather not have to carry more than just one well-made bag, the Covert has more than enough space to cover even the most intense of afternoon shooting sessions.

The range bag comes in at 14” x 10” x 9” for the exterior dimensions, and measures 12” x 9” x 9.5” on the inside. The bag can be toted with either the gusset-mounted dual wraparound handles, or by way of the adjustable (and removable!) heavy-duty shoulder strap. The bottom of the bag is marked by four non-slip rubber feet to ensure the Covert remains firmly rooted to wherever you place it.

Trying to explain the configuration of pockets, loops, and compartments on the Covert Range Bag can be a bit tricky when relying solely upon text on a screen, so be sure to check out our extensive product photos to get a better idea of how the bag is put together and laid out. There are eight primary compartments – five on the bag’s exterior panels, and three in the main interior compartment itself. These compartments are broken up into separate gun and ammo pouches, magazine or utility loops, etc.

The main interior compartment contains a second dedicated weapon pouch, as well as twelve more nylon-elastic utility/magazine loops and two more ammo pockets. The bottom of the main compartment is lined with a removable, solid molded panel to ensure the Covert can comfortably adapt to the weight and bulk of your weapons and other gear.

While there are technically two dedicated gun pouches in the Covert, in reality there is more than enough room to store at least one weapon in every compartment in the bag. We had no problem getting four to six guns into this range bag.

The Explorer Covert Range Bag was built to do one thing, and it does it really well: provide you with as much space as physically possible in a exceptionally well-designed bag, all without constraining what you can put in the bag and where you can place it. Nearly every pouch, regardless of what we call it (an “ammo” pouch, a “gun” pouch, etc.), is abundantly large enough to hold a weapon, a box of ammo, cleaning supplies, or other personal effects.

Is this the last range bag you’ll ever need? Probably not. But you’ll be hard-pressed to find a range bag anywhere that can do as much as the Covert in as compact a profile and as reasonable price as we’re offering for you here.
