The Daniel Defense M4 V7 Upper Receiver Group is built around a Cold Hammer Forged 16” Government profile barrel. It features a mid-length gas system for smooth, reliable cycling and reduced wear on moving parts. A free-floating MFR 15.0 handguard offers incredible weight savings as well as superior cooling, ergonomics, and modularity while maintaining the strength and durability expected from Daniel Defense. With the M-LOK attachment points that run along 7 positions and an uninterrupted 1913 Picatinny rail on top, the V7 Upper Receiver Group has plenty of room for the sights, optics, and accessories the user may require.

Mine arrived and the first thing I did was check all the head spacing, alignment (bolt, gas tube, etc.) and torquing. Mine was perfect, the only exception was the vertical grip was rolling around in the box and one of the M-LOK bolts was stuck in the handguard for a bit.
I've heard some of these have "not up to snuff" QC; I know 2 ppl other than myself who ordered one. Mine and 1 friend's were fine, the second friend had scratches all over the top rail. Cosmetic, but it's not being marketed as a "blem" so - don't send a blem.
TL;DR: Potential for a good deal. I'm happy with mine, but some sample sizes of folks are getting blems/lemons.

Very disappointed with DD quality control on this item sold through MidwayUSA. Sending mine back to Midway for replacement, and crossing my fingers I get a better example. See attached pics.

Fantastic deal on a superb upper. I've read others had issues with theirs from Midway. I got mine over a year ago & only issue was front/rear sights rolling around in a box but otherwise - fantastic buy. I still prefer my BCMs, but my DD has better MOA/sub-MOA groupings for the ranges I shoot at.
