Description
The Centurion Arms cold hammer forged 5.56 AR-15 barrels are made from high quality 41V50 Chrome Moly Vanadium—steel specifically designed for machine gun barrels—so you know it will last thousands of rounds. In order to get the 1:7 twist rate, the barrel blanks are placed on a mandrel and compressed with power hammers to create extremely consistent and smooth lands and grooves with the benefit of work hardening the steel to improve durability. The bore and chamber are then chrome lined to create a surface that is harder than the steel which aids in longevity, and smoother which aids in extraction and overall reliability.
