These are supposed to be rated well. I’ve been watching them for a couple years for the price to come down but it has held steady so I haven’t picked one up yet.

What I don't understand is why all the TP9 series are going up in price, except the TP9SFX that is going down.

Apparently being a Master Gunsmith doesn't give me a better perspective on guns than most people. LOL What Kind of Logic is that?

I had a gunsmith who claimed he was a certified master gunsmith fuck my gun up so bad it had be taken some where else. It had no issues until he got a hold of it.

Everybody's a master something over the internet smh. With that being said I like the Caniks but you can't say they have earned the rep of other gun with PROVEN track records . Also if you wanna be realistic all these guns are just glock copies yet people say that glocks sucks , then run a and buy a copy of it with a different manufacturer.

All of the manufacturers I mentioned are not Glock copies for one they're not way overpriced like Glocks. Triggers are far better, use different striker tech and they don't feel like you're holding onto a 2x4 at a weird angle. Mark my words, now that Glock lost the huge Military contract to SIG they either need to come out with something different or they'll be smaller than Canik in 20 years. By the way Canik has been making guns in Turkey and supplying miltary in the middle east and Europe for plenty long enough to have a proven track record. Caniks are under priced work horses especially now that they came out with tp9sfx. I've said my piece yu can choose to take the word of an Expert or be closed minded. Peace!!!

You are delusional if you don't think these are all glock copies. So glock comes out wit a striker fired polymer frame pistol that was reliable and void of buttons , decockers, and hammers . Then what happened .. 30 years later everybody starts making them . HK was first to do it but the gun was a POS. Glock will always be relevant sorry to bust your anti glock bubble. Glock showed the world what a duty / combat weapon should be . Once again I really like my canik but a glock is what is on my hip for work and personal . You are the close minded foul who can't admit what every gun company is copying .. We all know is the g17 g19 and g26... Its so obvious that gun companies don't even try and hide it anymore . Let's be real there are plenty of great guns for edc/duty but they all have copied the one gun company GLOCK

I'm not Delusional and am fully aware of the history of guns and which guns are better than others obviously You are closed minded and think Glock is Perfection just like the ad LMAO. GLOCK may have been first but others have far surpassed Glocks and they've done it using different Striker Fired systems not just like Glock but you wouldnt know the differences. Striker Fired guns are all the same to you, I got news for ya they are not made built or assembled equally Glocks are not the best its as simple as that ask anyone who actually deals with 100s of different guns on a weekly basis and they will tell you the same thing I have. Glock is the #1 gun repaired anywhere and yes there are alot of them so that has something to do with it but I assure you the Gen4 triggers are junk prblems in over half the g19 on the market gen2 slides crack religiously I own all of them but the only one that is as reliable as they claim is the Gen3 As far a talking about the best guns for duty well striker fired isn't it but you keep thinking Glock is all that when they arent even top 5 and if they don't come out with a new design soon they will be sold to only people like yourself who would rather by a 30 year old design rather than buy something where the Ergonomics, Quality and precision are far superior. By the way the best Duty Gun on the Market is the FNX TACTICAL 45 but thats beside the point.

Glocks suck? Ask any cop that carries one. He/she won't tell you that. Mine has never had any type of failure. It is just as reliable as my 3 Springfield XD's. Most people who say Glocks suck has never owned one. Just like people who says the Bugatti sucks.

I work on them for a living I have more broken Glock slides on my bench than any other issue with any other gun. They are not worth any where near what they charge and FN, SIG, WALTHER, HK, M&P,CZ, STEYR, Canik are all superior firearms. I know many law enforcement that do not care for Glock and most want either the Sig 320, Walther PPQ.

Well considering that's what I do for a living the internet has nothing to do with it. Caniks have had proven track records for years now. Just because a gun is striker fired does not make it a Glock copy. Think what you want but I work on all these guns all day long, Glock is not is same quality as Walther, FN, SIG, HK, Canik or Steyr. M&Ps are great guns also but the trigger is to close to the grip and the 2.0s are no different. I see more Glock cracked slides on y bench than any other problem by far.

The bullshit you put on the internet is kinda sad ..tell me other the first POS HK who was making a striker fired polymer pistols... I'll wait ...Glock set the stage for all these companies in that market . Funny everybody had da/sa or gun with a safety, or a decocker. Now ALL make their copy of glocks .. Have you seen glock copy them ...fuck no

The HKVP70 was not a piece crap the only thing wrong with it was the trigger but otherwise very reliable accurate high capacity firearm. Glock took that design and made it better just like all the other HK NOT Glock copiers. Get off your high horse with Glok they were first at nothing but it's a common misconception among people who dont know shit about guns!

Whatever happened to the original Canik packaging with three mags? Are companies not making enough money by volume therefore removing the third mag for sale to increase profit margin? These have now been proven to be an outstanding firearm and just as the HS2000 was picked up and copyrighted by Springfield as the XD series of pistols I fully expect the TP series to be picked up by a major manufacturer and relabled. Also, despite the low cost the shipping is three times what it should be. Even with insurance and the FFL fee I can beat the shipping cost here by twelve dollars.

I've heard through the grapevine that some retailers are taking 2nd and 3rd mag from a lot guns and selling them seperatly without manufacturer permission. Gun shops make pleanty of money regardless of mags its rediculous.

Everyone getting so upset over $30 shipping but the Canik Tp9 has recently gone up in price it sells regularly for $350 plus shipping so this is a deal whether you like it or not. The Canik Tp9 is an Excellent firearm one of the best striker fired triggers on the market, Ergonomics are good these guns are better than M&P, Glock and are in a class with the PPQ, VP9, SIG320.

You're getting beyond yourself praising this gun a lil too much ..its a good gun but its not a m&p or glock . I own this gun so I know its good but just cant put it on m&p nor glock levels ..it HAS NO TRACK RECORD in the united states yet as a duty / combat weapon .

My canik has a way better trigger than my glocks. It has better features than a glock IMO as well.( a real guide rod, not plastic like glock. And it has a loaded chamber indicator, which glocks do not have.) Accuracy and reliability are basically the same, I can hit what I want, when I want, with zero failures out of either.
On to the M&P; I own a vtac m&p full size. While it is a fantastic sidearm, the trigger is an absolute shit sandwich. The canik trigger is literally leagues ahead of the m&p. I installed a flat faced apex system in it, and problem solved. (Amazing trigger system) HOWEVER, that puts my total amount invested in the M&P at least twice,3x what the canik costs. As far as value goes for the money spent, this is the better gun. But there are very little things you can do to a canik, whereas there are almost limitless things you can do to a glock/m&p. Whether LEO's use a weapon or not, holds little to no water when it comes down to it.

Not beyond myself at all his gun has been proven in, Turkish Arms for a while now it's not new by any means. I know its not as good as M&P or Glock its better. I own all the guns mentioned in the statement before and am a Master class Gunsmith. I find it funny since a gun isn't known as much as some in the US it's not as good. I hate to tell you but the US doesn't make the best Guns, I wish they did but it's not even close Germany has us beat by a long shot!

What does being a gunsmith have to do with your opinion?

0 votes
0 votes

How would it not have to do with an opinion on how quality a gun is? I know how each of them are built and which ones have problems and which ones don't. Thats like saying a mechanic doesn't know a quality car with good parts.

Plenty of guns are built with quality parts but seem to be pieces of shit ... Like I said canik is a good gun but I'm still picking glock and m&p over it

I don't know of any! 90% of guns that have issues is because of a cheap part.

This Canik pistol is different than the others you are talking about. It has rear Warren sights and Century charges more for this model. Please compare the manufacturer part numbers between the guns and you will see they are not the same.

We are running a promotion over the weekend for $9 off shipping, just enter in discount code: MOAB

See the sale flyer here: http://mailchi.mp/preppergunshop/moab-sale-4-17...

I picked one of those up from TSS, great deal with the free shipping. This one from prepper appears to have a different rear sight than stock. Says it comes with a "warren tactical" rear sight, might be why it's priced a bit higher.

Weren't these $285 shipped about a month or so ago?

Prepper must use "alternative facts" to define deals....

Prepper again with there crazy high shipping. This would be a normal price with free shipping however when you factor in the $30 shipping this is no deal. Shipping brings the total to $329.99 which makes the total higher than any of the recent prices Ive seen on this pistol. Kentucky Gun Co. had this for $269 or $279 shipped on there presidents day sale. That sale is over but im sure we will see that price again in the near future
