I shot my buddys BP9cc at the range and it is a fun accurate gun. But having a magazine disconnect and the locking mechanism on the right side of the slide are two big no no's for me for ccw. At $250 I would grab one as a range toy.

Gunpro also has the Walther PPS for $299 which is far superior gun!

Gunbuyer has it for the same price with free shipping also. LE version for $306.

With the PPS and Shield being around $300 I don't know why anyone would choose this ove them. Personally Walther PPS best in class no trigger work needed for $300 at Buds Gun Shop!

Is the Shield cheaper? It’s a question of total cost. Add the Apex action kit to the Shield and the Bersa becomes cheaper. And even utilizing the trick of keeping the stock (lighter than kit) trigger spring during install, the modified Shield still ends up with a trigger that is heavier than the Bersa by about 2 pounds. OTOH, buy some extra magazines and the Bersa gets very expensive, and is still just carbon steel without a Melonite/Tennifer/etc treatment.

Why would anyone pick this over a Shield, and the Shield is cheaper (right now anyway)? It's a legitimate question, so if anyone really likes this gun and wants to compare it to a Shield, I'm all ears.

This Bersa is my daily carry. I had a FTF in the first 50 rounds - a case stovepiped on me during feeding. A little bit of rampwork and some polishing at the breech fixed the problem, and the pistol has been error free since. A great choice for concealed carry, and a steal at this price.

Hard choices to make between this, a cz 75, or sig m11-a1...

Not a hard choice at all the CZ and SIG are far better quality guns. If you are looking for something this size go with Walther PPS or Shield both around $300 and 100% reliable and much better steel used for the entire gun.

If you want a CCW, then get this over your other selections. I have used the Kahr CW9, XDS 3.3 .45 and this Bersa. This feels the best in my hand. I have fairly thick hands and medium-large length fingers, this gun feels the best to me. Trigger is really good and the beavertail is cut high which makes it feel better than my Kahr. Although I am totally comfortable with the Kahr's SMOOTH trigger.

Great gun that shoots like a single stack Glock. Parts are very cheap through Bersa's website. A new barrel only cost $40.
