$6699/- for one of these or you can buy an AR 15 from Bravo Company or two, or three or four or five, and probably still have money left over for a klondike bar and a haircut a car wash and a 12oz cup of premium coffee from starbucks. hmmm i think i will pass

You're comparing a .50 Cal to an AR? I'm glad you decided to pass, you're certainly not worthy of a weapon like this.

For my needs an AR is more than enough, and guess what, i still have my 6699/- in the bank.

Sorry my wife only gives me up to $1,000 allowance to purchase rifles. If I go one dollar over the wife says no =)

Is that per gun, per month, year or lifetime? I spent about $5K on guns and ammo the last 12 months. $300 just last night on ammo. I believe I am done for awhile. I have everything I need/want. But for this gun here, you will need about $1,000 just for ammo! They are not cheap. Take out a mortgage for the gun, and a second for ammo!

Hahahahahs........ per gun spaced out about every 3 months. Ammo she uses as well so we usually spend about $1,000 a year in ammo give or take

Well since you bring it up, there are differences.

There are several differences between the M82A1 and the M107. Starting with internals and function. Internally the M107 has more advanced recoil control, which is one of the major difference between the two. The M107 is a whole 4 pounds less than the original M107. The weight difference between the M82A1 and M107A1 is as follows: M82A1 is 30lbs and the M107A1 is around 25-26lbs, keep in mind this is unloaded. The M107A1 also has the cylindrical muzzle brake made out of titanium along with a titanium barrel key/ recoil buffer which allows the weapon to use suppressors made for Barrett's. The M82A1 has basically none of this the recoil is more, it is heavier, it has the traditional triangle shaped/spear head shaped muzzle brake (by which i love the look of), you cannot suppress the M82A1 either.

Appearance speaking, you picked the first of the Semi-auto Barrett's and thus there are more differences. Starting with the M82A1 has a fixed scope mount, where the M107A1 has a picatinny rail that spans a good portion of the top of the rifle (the M82A3, M107, M107CQ all also have the same rail). Now one of the other differences that most M82A1's and M82A3's have between the M107 series is the charging handle. The handle comes out and down at a shallow angle on the M82's and on the M107's it comes out and then makes a 90 degree turn up and then another 90 degree turn out farther. Its tough to explain if you don't know so i will try to show you.

M82A1 (note the fixed optics mount and if you look real close you can see the charging handle going out and down at a shallow angle)

M82A3 (note one of the main visual differences between the M82A1 and the M82A3 is the optics rail that is more along the lines of the M107 series. However the M82A3 and M82A1 share the same type of charging handle)

M107A1 (note the different muzzle brake, and the different charging handle)

M107A1 Close up of the charging handle note the difference between that and those of the M82 series

I could be wrong but I'm about 99% positive the M107 IS an 82A1. I've been around and used the M107 quite a bit and I'm seeing no apparent physical differences between that and the photo used here.
