Description

The ATI Alpha Maxx stripped receiver set gives you a lightweight, durable foundation for a build that performs. Both upper and lower are molded from reinforced polymer and engineered around ATI’s patented over-molded metal inserts that reinforce pressure-bearing contact points — giving the feel and function of a reinforced receiver without the weight penalty. Designed as a true builder’s starting point, the set ships stripped so you can install your choice of internals, barrel, and furniture while benefiting from ATI’s unique durability features.

Configuration: Stripped Upper & Lower Receiver Set (no internals)

Material: Reinforced polymer receiver bodies with over-molded metal inserts at pressure/contact points

Patents / Features: Patented over-molded metal inserts; patented hammer & trigger pin locking screws

Compatibility: Accepts standard AR-15 / mil-spec components (standard mil-spec trigger groups, stocks, buffers, handguards, and magazines) — verify part dimensions for aftermarket variations

Receiver Interface: Reinforced buffer-tube housing and takedown/pivot pin contact areas (metal-on-metal interface via over-molded inserts)

Think this would be a good way to build up a 22lr AR with the cmmg kit on the cheap.

Agreed. The ONLY way id consider using these polymer uppers and lowers is in .22 caliber configuration. Although many will argue with me, the fact remains polymer receivers, namely the uppers will in fact warp and in more extreme cases will crack over the repeated heating and cooling, the subjected pressures from larger caliber ammunition and even changes in weather. If your simply building something to shoot once or twice a year and the rest of the time sitting in a safe, you may get many years of "service" out of it. However if your like me, A high volume shooter who actually uses my forearms then like I said I would not use these on anything over a rimfire caliber. People like to argue with me, especially on the full ATI, all plastic AR's that come up often on here. The ones which even the trigger and hammer is plastic. If stress cracking and warping is NOT an issue, then why is it every new generation that comes out are they adding more and more aluminum inserts over molded in the receivers?? It's physics.... anyhow as far as these, as I said before my rant, these would most likely make a good .22lr setup on the cheap.

Well if we're arguing :) These are metal reinforced at the stressed areas. And there's people with 1000's of rounds through them with 5.56. I've got about 1000 through my rattlesnake with 22lr. I also picked up two of the wraithworks (ke arms) which is a one piece and has quite a few that put them through torture tests.

That said, instead of paying $300 for a RTB complete upper and then a lower, you can get this and complete it for a bit under $300. PSA had their branded cmmg bcg's for $80, significantly cheaper than the RTB one.

For the price, I kinda want to try one. But I haven't finished building up the wraithworks yet.
