How old are you? Do you genuinely think what you type is clever or hurtful? I really want to know. The only reason I reply to you is your "insults" keep getting weaker and weaker...and they didn't start very strong to begin with. I am waiting for you to call me a "doodoo head" and accuse my mother of smelling bad. Bring the pain "bitch!"

If you don't like the comment you just posted then why post it?

Post office? LOL, not even sure where you are trying to go with that one.

P.S. you do realize everyone can see you are liking your own posts and 'likes' don't earn you anything?

I do not spend my life pretending to be an underwater knife fighting instructor for hire shitting on other people’s opinions then quickly change my user name when I get my ass handed to be by half the forum like some people here..cough cough...

P.S. Also if you know so little about AR's that a low profile gas block confuses you than you shouldn’t be standing on a soapbox about how you have "hundreds of hours of training" with countless brands of that style rifle. Sorry I have little patience for 'that guy' at the range who shows up every Saturday with a 22LR trying to school a bunch of ex-marines on proper firearm handling when his lack of knowledge can be felt from 30 yards away.

You guys need to take your Internet tough guy bullshit and childish banter over to Facebook where it belongs....really no one cares or wants to read your bullshit....

So now you work with AR manufacturers and are also a private contractor who handles them for "hundreds of hours" at the range and while "operating" but are confused by the most basic of design features? Dude, you aren't fooling anyone and should stop making a ass of yourself .

Hmm if your referring to me I was not referencing your post and did not say anything about paint flaking. On a side note you don't know what I have worn and not worn so please stop the insults, or the shit holes I have been in for that matter. Regarding anodized finishes come on man please tell me you don't find them sensitive to cosmetic scratching. I don't mind superficial cosmetic scratches but it happens and 3 or 4 uses to me might be different from 3 or 4 of your uses. To be honest I can give you 3 leading manufactures of AR's whom I do a lot of work with and they will tell you the same thing. Head Down Products is one of them based in Dallas GA and yes they have been in some serious shitholes too before you go an insult them. Ask for Lee. In fact I just had this exact conversation with him two weeks ago... Tell him JT told you to ask him about AR finishes. I can't believe I am writing this now on a Friday night taking time away from my family.... Oh and I will apologize if I insulted you. I shy away from calling a nameless face in a post on a "gun site" a 12 year old put down. My intention was not insult but glad you called me out in a post online. If you would like the names of the two other manufactures based in my lovely state of TX please let me know although I am done with this and annoyed. Back to my family where I have much better things to do...

You know what, I decided to give you a chance....maybe I missed this entire flaking "paint" (your word not mind) conspiracy / problem / etc that you seem to think is so freaking prevalent with the most popular rifle in the United States. Hell, I might live under a rock, maybe I take super good care of my gear, maybe the air in my land-locked locale is more friendly to the finish of my arms than the atmosphere of Venus where you most certainly reside.

I decided to try a little experiment to vindicate you, not scientific mind you but a good litmus test; I googled and did youtube searches for the following terms and more to find all of the people complaining about the widespread problem of “AR 15 chipping paint,” “AR 15 paint problems,” “AR 15 flaking finish,” and I came up with about NOTHING except people trying to hide deep stretches and cover up friction points. Why is that? If the finish is so substandard you managed to ruin a dozen rifles within 20 miles of your home without them ever leaving the gunshop how come the greatest group of crybabies in the world on youtube aren’t bitching about the same problem??? It baffles me.

The "painting" your referencing is actually an anodized finish which is common on all AR's. Unfortunately that type of finish is very sensitive to scratching and marks. Even from finger nails in fact I have a couple AR's that have dings from just sitting in the safe. This is common knowledge my friend. They do have different levels (1-3) but they all get knicked up. I have a $1600 Headdown pv13 that Has been used 3 or 4 times and it's marked up pretty good. That AR has about the best anodized finish that money can buy. The only way around this is to cerakote an AR but now your looking at adding $200-$300 to the cost of an AR if done from manufacture or reputable company. I actually just had the aforementioned AR complete redone and it ran me close to $300 but that includes every piece on the AR being done right including he barrel. I bring this up because some of your responses don't make much sense. This it would be a shame for someone that is interested in his rifle to pass because it scratches easily then they end up missing the deal and kicking themselves later.... I have never shot this actual rifle but do think feature wise it's pretty solid. I've also had good experiences in the past with Armalite. The barrel is made of quality steal and is chambered in wylde which is unusual for AR at his price point. Pair that with sites and an upgraded stock and it's a decent deal. I have a S &W sport and to be honest like the way this is set up better but how it shoots could be a different story. I'm just kicking myself I didn't pick up another S &W sport from whiters for $499!!! That is a no brainier... My wife would kill me though as I just ordered my 3rd one in 2 months;)

You are the dumb ass that referred to the finish as "paint flaking" and I have handled, shot, and owned countless ARs and M-16s (you get those when you agree to be a wear BDUs for a few years) and have never had the experience you are describing of such self wear especially with a rifle you have only used 4 times. Not sure what you are doing wrong but it is apparent that you are the problem not a half dozen different manufacturers.

BTW, please leave the reviews for people who have actually used the said item and actually understand major things like low height railed gas blocks which would make the rifle unusable at 20 yards if this little thing was missed. There is nothing wrong with not being an expert on a subject but once you get on a soapbox and start spewing fiction expect to be called out and called out hard. Imagine walking into a biker bar and the first thing out of your mouth was how crappy all the motorcycles outside are and all of your "points" make absolutely no sense ....and your were dropped off by Uber.

Great comeback Ty... Why don't you take a little break from commenting until you've actually owned or fired a given product.

Seems like all you've done so far is compare specs and fondle a couple abused display models, and you are kind of coming across as if you have never even fired/built/setup/owned an AR...

You sure flushed out a "creepo online stalker" though, great job!!!!!!!

By "stalk" you mean click your name and your comment history automatically pops up showing you are a fucking liar? Yeah, that took all of 15 seconds and the only reason I did it is I stumbled across 2 of your almost identically worded 'reviews' of two different branded rifles while actually shopping for guns (what people who own firearms do on gun.deals). You have been caught....so why don't you go back to your "maritime environment" and drown yourself? BTW, why did you change your user name, hiding something?

He changed his user name when I pointed out that his previous one "Selfm8d" actually becomes "Self-mated" if you say it aloud.

Probably not the ego-boosting pat on the back he was going for.

What a piece o'crap!

Held one of these next to the Ruger 556, MP Sport II And Colt Expanse. All three of those rifles were on par with each other and decent quality plus come ready to shoot. Get ready to shell out for a rear sight if you buy the Eagle, because it does not come with one.
Thinking maybe just that particular store's Eagle model was bad or off I held the Orc version,..no better. Plus the sightblock up front does not line up with the rear. They do make two hieghts for the gas block, A) How confusing, just pick Eagle! B) Good luck finding that one. C) The Ruger is immediately compatable with new SL handguard from Magpul, the Eagle is not.

This gun touts a lot of features, but once you hold it in hand you understand why these rifles re truly pieces of junk. Gritty trigger and bcg/charging handle. Oh and good thing the fwd assist is on there, you'll need it, often.
I tried pushing on the bolt groove and that thing wouldn't budge. This is especially scary to think about firing if the headspacing is way off!!

The finish also looks and acts more like black paint than anything. The "brand new" models (all 3 I handled) were already showing signs of wear, from being on a gun rack, wtf! I could literally scratch it with my fingernail.

I even took the time to drive 20 miles across town to another gun store to check out their Eagle 15, same story, if not worse.

Oh and that MFT stock is decent, but super tight and hard to slide. The rear sight literally came apart in my hands while holding the rifle. Look online for reviews about those horrible MFT sights, pure garbage.

I think you need to wash your hands as this is the 5th or 6th rifle that has black "paint" magically pealing off in front of your eyes between this post and your last. Gritty rifle in a gun shop? You are aware most gun shops do not clean or oil the guns prior to putting them out and and that is the feel of a brand new milspec trigger? Low height gas block.....are you new here? Sights that work are a dime a dozen and unless you are unable to tell the height difference between the flat top of the rail and the gas block due to your obviously being legally blind it isn't at all "confusing." I would be happy to stand across the room from you and point out which ARs suffer from this syndrome. A flat top rifle without are rear sight? IT'S A FLAT TOP RIFLE!

I would suggest you find a new hobby as this gun thing isn't your strong suit.....
