Body armor is the second. The Ballistic Helmet is the step beyond. The Ballistic Helmet is tested for Level IIIA protection, the full details of which can be found on the specifications tab. In short, it is rated to stop powerful handgun rounds such as .44 Magnum. Perhaps more relevant to most operations, this means the helmet will be effective against blast debris and high-velocity blunt impacts. It is also a very light helmet at only 1.9 lbs in its biggest size.
