ROTO 12 Compact Shotgun is a 8-round, 12-gauge, cylinder-fed shotgun that accepts a standard AR15 style grip and AR15 style stock with buffer tube with an overall length of just 8 inches.
Eight round quick change 12 gauge cylinder automatically rotates as fast as the trigger is pulled offering rapid fire performance.
Additional quick change 8 round drums are available. Load cylinders quickly with AGC fast load slugs. Stock and grip not included.
Caliber: 12 Gauge - load quickly with AGC fast load slugs, front loader/muzzleloader. Conventional 209 inline primer Breech Plug Design BP, suggested load 50gr ffg pellet with AGC fast load slugs.

Maybe the way they carved out the exception for the shockwave is what he is referring to? Basically the receiver had to be made brand new with no intention on ever attaching a buttstock. Just a pistol grip. ATF classified it as a 'firearm'. Given that was a 'rule' I doubt it would work post-chevron. I wouldn't want to try it.

I was just poking fun at a local troll who claimed that simply adding a pistol grip to any firearm (shotgun, pistol, rifle, etc) magically reclassified it as a "pistol," making it legal regardless of barrel length or configuration. (they later claimed adding a stock was kosher too) As if SBR and SBS laws suddenly vanish with the addition of a grip and / or stock (when in reality, that’s exactly when they apply).
This troll, who seems to reply to every one of my posts just to argue, insisted they could legally add a stock and / or pistol grip to a Shockwave-style 12 gauge. That configuration has already been struck down multiple times in federal court without a tax stamp. Short barrel Shockwave-type firearms aren’t legally considered shotguns because they lack both a traditional grip and stock. Adding a standard grip or stock reclassifies them (however silly that may seem in real life) as an SBS, which requires a tax stamp to legally own.
I was simply offering a heads-up to another user when the troll suddenly decided they were a gun rights attorney. In reality they were just desperate to interact with me so they looked for any excuse to get my attention ;)

Actually some of the new modern muzzleloaders are classified as firearms and need an FFL transfer. Proving once again don't take troll boi's advice and check current law before proceeding. He has no facts especially for a "unless person"
