It's all about those military grade materials.
This may be a good deal for the price, but to call them the "BRIGHTEST LANTERN ON AMAZON" is just a flat out lie. They are careful NOT to say what their lumen output is, but one review says that it's 60 lumens. That's not very bright. There are lots of lanterns with much higher output. Don't let the description fool you.
I have one of these lanterns. The design is slick and somewhat sturdy, but it's built with cheap plastic. It's fairly bright but hurts your eyes to look at. Definitely worth it at two for $10. I paid $9.99 for one and feel like a chump now. NOT even close to the brightest light on Amazon, unless it's counted by RBUs, retina-burn units.
Calling these "military grade" is a farce. Not even Mexico's military would use these.
