If this was in .357, I'd bought one by now. Still on the fence about this .38 model....it looks so nice but just wish it was .357. I don't know why gun manufacturers making these .38 revolvers, simply don't just make them all in .357 that way buyers have the option to run both .38 and .357 depending upon need, experience and ammo availability. It wouldn't cost anything more to make a .357 instead of a dedicated .38.... opinion???
Man thats one nice looking revolver. Really suprised it is a Taurus. Not that I dont like Taurus as I own several models, they just have always been more utilitarian vs beauty except for a few special models. Great deal too.
I have this gun. Initially drawn to it because of the two-tone finish and the "cool" VZ G-10 grips. I already owned a "regular" Taurus 856 and it is a great little revolver. But the VZ grips on this version totally screw-up up grip angle and unnaturally force your hand up towards the hammer and force you to have to pull the trigger up at an angle instead of straight back - making the trigger weight seem much heavier. Anyway, don't buy this for the grips - they *suck* and you will end up putting on the stock rubber grips or buying a Hogue grip for it - the VZ grips are that bad. My experience :-p
