If this makes you feel prepared, then by all means buy it and enjoy. Like Sootch says, you can`t survive 3 seconds without hope, never mind 3 minutes without O2, 3 hours without shelter, 3 days without water and 3 weeks without food. A Snickers bar gives me hope one hour past my regular lunch time and it only costs $.75... If you are an independent sole you can do better than this "hope" kit. Buy a multi-tool, lighter, mora knife, life straw, bandana, poncho and some clif bars and wrap those all in a cheap tarp tied tight by some paracord.
