It is the main component of a modular armor system consisting of a Veritas skeletonized cummerbund, multi-caliber Kangaroo pouch, and padded side-plate pouches. The Veritas Lite includes plenty of PALS webbing for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories. It also features the same American-made, impact-resistant buckles as the original, but eliminates the bulk and weight of the padding, 3D mesh, and removes the MOLLE webbing on the upper front and rear portions (both replaced with a large area of Velcro®). It has level III+ protection which defeats all pistols and most rifles, including 5.56 M193 and M855 at speeds of up to 3,000 FPS. These plates are only 5.5 lbs (each) and 0.25" thick. They provide edge-to-edge multi-hit protection and a 20-year shelf-life. C2 Body Armor Special: the C2 ceramic body armor is curved and provides the highest protection level in the industry - level IV. This level of protection is tested to stop .30 caliber armor-piercing bullets at 2,880 feet per second. Lighter than most steel alternatives, these plates weight 7.5 lbs (each) and are 0.75" thick. They provide single-hit protection and a 5-year shelf-life.
