Taurus TX22 Competition .22 LR 5.25" Barrel 16-Rounds 3 Mags

Who does not like shooting a .22 lr pistol? Let’s face it, often .22 lr is the only ammo we have around and the only one we can afford to “mag-dump” these days. There are lots of 22 pistols out there to choose from in a range of sizes and shapes.

I had been a long time Ruger fan, specifically the SR22. I did not think I would like anything as much as the SR22….until I shot the TX22. It is light, easy to shoot, accurate, and has been very reliable with a wide variety of ammo. I am not saying I like it more or better than the SR22 but it was just one of those situations, I simply needed to own both.

With that said, Taurus just came out with the TX22 Competition. That was a game changer for me if you like shooting with optics. Besides just looking super cool, it has all the great qualities of the original TX22, but sexier and optics ready. I have to say, with a few accessories on this, it will be love at first “Grip”. What I can do with this gun was a fun factor 10+. Good thing I stocked up on .22 ammo!

Bottom Line:

It has the reliability of the original TX22 we came to expect. It is all about optics for this one. It comes with all the needed plates for most all the optics available. It is accurate, light, comfortable, and just a blast to shoot.
