  • How you feel about this gun reflects on how much you paid for it. if you got it for $300 or thereabouts - you're probably pretty happy. If you pay $400 for it - like I did at the height of panic buying you probably don't like the gun as much.

As far as function - it's brilliant - super reliable - relatively easy trigger to manage. The size is a sweet spot for a concealed carry gun. But everything else about the gun is pretty mediocre.

The sights it comes with are the "U - dot" ball in a cup type Glock sight - which nobody thinks is a good idea. The traction on the grip is pretty slippery - which is probably good for concealed carry because it won't chafe against your skin - but not great for shooting if your hands are sweaty or wet. The trigger is OK - it's a DAO type trigger and is pretty easy to manage. Magazines are a little too expensive for this gun to be a budget gun.

For about the $400 price point the Security 9 will get the job done - but there are other options - like the Canik that will make you feel special and do just as good a job.
