The Uberti 1875 Army Outlaw is a faithful reproduction of the big-frame, Army-style revolver Remington introduced in 1875. The 1875 Remington single actions kept the solid frame and overall styling of Remington’s 1858 percussion models. These replicas are chambered in .45 Colt. The infamous Frank James carried a Remington revolver for most of his outlaw career. His favorite caliber was .45 Colt. Firearm Specifications: Model: Army Outlaw Caliber: .45 Colt Barrel Length: 7.5 in. Overall Length: 13.6 in. Finish: Blue Cylinder: 6-shot fluted Number of Grooves: 6 Twist: Right

The Uberti 1873 Cattleman Doc .357 Mag draws its visual inspiration from the elegant Colt Lightning-style revolver carried by John Henry “Doc” Holliday, the celebrated gambler, gunman, and sometime lawman who stood beside Wyatt Earp during some of the West’s most storied moments. While Doc’s original revolver was smaller and less mechanically robust, this model retains his distinctive styling while upgrading to the proven 1873 single-action design and the modern reliability of a fluted 6-shot cylinder.

The Uberti Cattleman II with retractable firing pin is a breakthrough for those seeking enhanced safety with regard to original Old West revolvers without sacrificing the visual authenticity of a 1st-generation Colt. As any cowboy knows, the safest way to carry a single-action is with the hammer resting on an unloaded chamber. This is true even for the Uberti retractable firing pin design. But in the case of the Uberti design, the risk of accidental discharge is reduced: the firing pin is not locked into the firing position unless the trigger is pulled.

John Wesley Hardin’s career as a gunfighter and an outlaw began at age 15 and lasted until his death. Over the course of his life, Hardin was frequently in trouble with the law and even had a few run-ins with legendary lawman Wild Bill Hickok. During his many shootouts, Hardin was known to use a Schofield No. 3 Revolver, a popular handgun of the time that could be quickly reloaded thanks to it’s top-break design. Hardin used his Schofield No. 3 to great effect during a gunfight against Deputy Webb in Comanche Texas.
