Winchester
The Winchester Repeating Arms Company is a well-known American producer of repeating weapons and ammunition. Oliver Winchester founded the company on May 22 1866, and it was based in New Haven, Connecticut. The Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" lever-action rifle, with polished brass receiver, was the first firearm to carry the Winchester name, and it acquired enormous popularity right away. The manufacturer has released a number of rifle and shotgun versions over the years. The Winchester rifles and shotguns are still some of the most widely used weapons in the United States today.
