The Escort SDX is a versatile, gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun from Hatsan's Versatile Tactical Shotgun (VTS) series, available in 12-gauge and .410 caliber configurations. It features a durable synthetic polymer lower receiver with an alloy magazine well, ensuring smooth and long-lasting performance. The shotgun is equipped with Hatsan's SMART Valve Piston system, allowing it to reliably cycle both light and heavy loads without adjustment. The 12-gauge model comes with an 18" chrome-plated steel barrel and includes removable chokes (Full, Improved Cylinder, and an extended cylinder bore choke brake), while the .410 model features a 20" barrel with an integrated choke suitable for shot or slugs. Both models have a fixed tactical stock with an integrated pistol grip, an elevation-adjustable comb, and a soft rubber butt pad for recoil absorption. Additional features include a reversible charging handle for ambidextrous use, multiple Picatinny rails for accessory mounting, and detachable flip-up sights complementing the carry-handle rear sight and fixed front sight. Each shotgun ships with two 5-round magazines and a smaller magazine stored in the buttstock. Available finishes are black or Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote, providing both aesthetic appeal and enhanced durability.
