The rifle incorporates Daniel Defense's RIS III (Rail Interface System) handguard, which provides a streamlined profile while maintaining full M-LOK compatibility for accessory mounting. A mid-length gas system paired with their enhanced buffer system offers reliable cycling and reduced felt recoil. Building on a matched set of forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, the MK18RIII features fully ambidextrous controls and Daniel Defense's enhanced furniture set. The platform utilizes their improved bolt carrier group with a proprietary coating for enhanced reliability and reduced friction.
