The Steyr Arms CL II is the evolution of the older Steyr Classic rifle. The design philosophy was to create a reliable platform to satisfy modern hunting requirements. Although the previous Steyr Classic model set the bar pretty high, the newer CL II rifle has met high expectations with its upgraded design. The rifle is available in various calibers, including 243 Win, 308 Win, 270 Win, 30-06 Springfield, 223 Rem, 7mm-08 Rem, 6.5x55 Swedish, and more. The Steyr CL II is available as a Halfstock, Mountain, Semi Weight, Stainless, and Fullstock, allowing hunters to find their ideal configuration. Mainly different in shape and ergonomics, all variants share premium parts and features, including a cold hammer forged barrel, safe bolt system, a 4-round detachable magazine (3 rounds for magnum calibers), a 2-stage trigger, 3-position safety (trigger, bolt handle, and firing pin block safety), premium walnut furniture with a checkered grip and forend, a recoil pad, and a drilled and tapped receiver for mounting a rifle scope.
