The DS9 Commander, a notable model within the DS Series, is a compact and lighter version of the DS9 Hybrid that features a 4.25" barrel, wide body, billet steel frame, and double-stack 1911 design. It comes with a hand-fitted MPA 416R stainless steel bull barrel that is vacuum heat-treated for durability and accuracy. The DS9 Commander is offered with either iron sights, including an Accuracy X Sight Base with a Kensight Bomar-style adjustable rear sight and a fiber optic front sight blade, or an optics-ready option with an Accuracy X Red Dot Sight Base. The pistol's configuration includes a black nitride slide, black anodized aluminum grip available in standard or aggressive textures, a carry magwell, and a trigger shoe.
