The Origin 12 is a semi-automatic, magazine-fed combat shotgun developed by Fostech Outdoors, known for its high rate of fire and AK-style action, similar to the Saiga-12 and Vepr-12. It features a robust design ideal for rapid shooting. The shotgun is available in several variants: the Origin 12 SBV, which was discontinued in 2019 due to NFA regulations but could be exchanged for another model; the short-barrel version with a 9.75" barrel and a side-folding stock; and the Origin 12 SABS, a semi-automatic breaching model classified as an Any Other Weapon by the NFA. The Origin 12 Gen 2 builds on the original with several enhancements, including a billet-machined carrier, billet ambidextrous safety, and billet trigger guard for increased durability and reliability. It features an improved and lightened gas system, an innovative infinite gas system, and a 3-point operational finger position for better handling. The GEN 2 also includes a quick-change barrel system and the Fostech Tomahawk stock, offering enhanced versatility and performance for both home defense and range shooting.
