The Mossberg Modern Rifle (MMR) is an AR-style carbine rifle with a free-floating barrel and a flat-top Picatinny Rail system. It is chambered in 5.56mm NATO. The front and rear sights of the MMR can be adjusted and are removable, which offers a lot of versatility when it comes to mounting aftermarket sights, optics, or scopes, and all that without any additional tools. Due to the high expense of manufacturing, not many AR-15 carbines have the amazing free-floating barrel feature.
