The Mossberg Silver Reserve and Gold Reserve over/under handguns are an attractive choice for highland shooting. The new Silver Reserve Field firearms, which are distinct from the previous Silver Reserve II versions, were created with hunters in mind, particularly those looking for a more simple field gun at a very affordable price. The Mossberg logo is engraved on the receiver, which is available in satin silver or matte blue. Extractors and a special black walnut stock with a 14-inch draw and cut checkering on the forearm and pistol grip are regular features. The barrels have five flush-fit choke tubes (C, IC, M, IM, F), a single bead on the end, and a matte blue finish. The 20- and 28-gauge and .410 versions have 26-inch blued barrels while the 12-gauge variant has a 28-inch matte blue barrel. A compact 20-gauge variant with a 13.25-inch length of pull and a 12-gauge model with a matte black receiver, a 28-inch barrel, and a black synthetic stock are available in addition to the four regular LOP versions. All Silver Reserve shotguns feature manual tang safeties with incorporated barrel selectors and vented mid ribs. The 12-, 20-gauge, and .410 Gold Reserve versions come with hand-selected black walnut stocks, polished, blued barrels, scroll engraving on the silver receivers, and a package of five extended sport choke tubes. The receiver's bottom features a 24-karat gold-inlaid Mossberg logo. There are two 12-gauge models available: a Black Label model with 30-inch barrels and a black receiver finish, and a Super Sport model with a completely adjustable wood stock. The safeties on all Gold Reserve firearms are also manual.
