The K6s revolver, a .357 magnum 2-inch barreled snub-nose revolver, was announced by Kimber in 2016. For Kimber, which is best known for its 1911s, this is a first because the K6s put them in competition with other tiny, steel-frame revolvers like the Ruger SP101 and Smith & Wesson J-frames. Kimber's 6-round capacity is the most obvious distinction. The Kimber K6s is the world's lightest small-frame, six-round .357 Magnum revolver and offers excellent performance and shooting ability. This handgun only has a double-action design since it has an internal hammer. The lack of an exposed hammer that may be cocked for single action may not be to everyone's taste, but it is extremely beneficial in a carry revolver to assist assure a snag-free draw stroke. The 2-inch version weighs 23 ounces and features a small, ergonomic frame, and a cylinder with a 1.39-inch diameter. The 3-inch variant is slightly heavier, about 25 ounces. An internal hammer, a smooth match grade trigger, and edges that are rounded and blended to eliminate snags on clothing or holsters are other attributes. The stainless versions are all manufactured from the highest-quality stainless steel for excellent integrity, strength, and weather resistance. The K6s Stainless is equipped with black rubber grips (or large smooth walnut grips for the 3-inch version), white 3-dot sights, and a low-glare brushed stainless frame finish. Although the sights are low-profile, they are removable, unlike on most tiny revolvers.
