The new Colt Combat Unit handgun was made to withstand intensive use. Colt has integrated their dual spring recoil system into the Combat Unit Pistol to improve control and accuracy, specifically during rapid fire. This technology prolongs the life of the recoil springs while reducing felt recoil. The polished stainless steel barrel of the Colt Combat Unit pistol measures 5 inches (Government frame) or 4.25 inches (Commander frame), and the single-action trigger pull weighs 4.5 to 6 pounds. The trigger's smooth, creep-free draw and crisp, clean break aid high accuracy. The pistol's upswept beavertail grip safety and undercut trigger guard support appropriate hand position and the gun's extended thumb safety is simple for right-handed shooters to activate and disengage.
