The Beretta APX line, introduced in 2016, represents Beretta’s entry into the modern striker-fired polymer-frame pistol market, designed for both military and civilian use. The Beretta APX is the company's first duty-sized pistol with a striker-fire mechanism. Because the gun is completely modular and can change calibers and frame sizes very simply, the term APX stands for "Advanced Pistol X", where the "X" refers to a caliber of choice.
