The SIG Sauer CROSS is a lightweight bolt-action rifle designed by SIG Sauer's North American division in Newington, New Hampshire, USA. It is positioned as a precision hunting rifle capable of excelling in both long-range shooting and backcountry hunting scenarios. This model marks SIG Sauer's return to bolt-action rifles, being the first since the introduction of the SSG 3000 in 1992. The CROSS was officially announced in December 2019 and is available in three calibers: .277 FURY, 6.5mm Creedmoor, and .308 Winchester. The 6.5mm Creedmoor version comes with either an 18-inch or 16-inch barrel, depending on the caliber. The rifle's weight varies between 6.5 and 6.8 pounds, making it easy to carry during extended hunts. The SIG Sauer CROSS features an adjustable trigger-pull that ranges from 2.5 lbf (11 N) to 4.5 lbf (20 N), which is comparable to the trigger system found in the 2016-introduced Ritter & Stark SX-1 MTR rifle. The rifle also offers M-LOK attachment system, and comes with an adjustable cheek rest and shoulder pad on the folding stock.
