I’m Drew Case from Beyond Seclusion, bringing you the review directly here to gun.deals, where I only give you my honest opinion and it is what it is.

Before we get into review, let’s just take a quick look at the specs and tech and an up close of the gun.

The Ruger American Precision. We have interchangeable back straps, it’s really easy. We’ve got a little Allen wrench here or screw. We have small, medium, large. Very ambidextrous, ambidextrous for both. The mag release and the slide release. We’ve got Picatinny 1913 rail here. We’ve got, you know, ports or lightning cuts here. This has absolutely nothing to do with venting the barrel. It’s more kind of just aesthetically pleasing, supposedly lightens the slide. We have fully adjustable rear sight, target sights and then a fiber optic. Front side the barrel is stainless steel. To break down is really easy, ok, we just push back, lock the slide open. This lever here goes up and it slides off. I like that, I like an easy breakdown. For me, that’s kind of a big point because there’s a couple brands out there that are just really painful to break down and this is quick and easy. We’ve got front and rear serrations, ok, for charging and really that’s about it. Safety is built-in to the trigger. We’ve got the grooves here. Guys, I just find this to be a very, very comfortable gun in the hands to shoot and I think that’s gonna show when I start reaching out at some distance.

Ruger American Competition Review

I did a review on Ruger’s American competition. So, you know what, let’s try 200 and see if we can hit it at 200. You can check out that review for the whole thing. Basically this is sort of a follow-up because I like this pistol and I like it more and more as time goes on but it comes ready for an optic and when I was doing the review and I was reaching out at 200 yards, you know, it just wasn’t working without a red dot and so this is a follow-up because I thought that would be a lot of fun. If you follow my channel you know I really like stretching it and reaching out at distance. So, what we’re gonna do we’re gonna take the American competition and I’m gonna do a review with a red dot on this and see what we can do with it.

Ruger American Competition Shooting

I got it mounted on here, was super quick and easy. What I wanna do here is I’m gonna zero this at 50 yards. See what we can do as far as groups and then, of course, we got to play on the steel. We’re gonna ring out at 50, 100 and then the main reason that I did this review and I wanted this optic is that I wanna see what I can do at some real distance, 200 yards. Ok, so zeroed in, started up here made some adjustments. There’s probably, I don’t know, there’s quite a few shots in there and there’s a hole, lot of them. In that one, hole, love it.

At 50 and 100, outstanding, you know, one can argue if you watch the original review that, you know, it’s not that much better than I was doin’ with the iron sights but I can say that I could do some of this with it that I probably wouldn’t have been able to with the iron sights. Check this out.

It would be pushing it for me to do that with iron sights so let’s see what we can do with this at the 200 yards.

What the heck, let’s try it.

Ruger American Competition Shooting at the Range

There you go guys. Taking Ruger American Competition 9mm to the next level. It actually did exactly what I thought it was gonna be able to do. For me that just increases the fun factor. The eyes, you know, they’re getting older. I’ve noticed that iron sights are getting a lot harder. So, anyway, those that have this or are interested in getting it here’s just a little, you know, sneak peek of what you can do potentially with a red dot. At least with this one, the Burris FastFire 3, I like it, they’ve got a FastFire 4 coming out. When I get my hands on that this is probably gonna be the first gun that I put it on hopefully.

There you have it, guys. It is what it is. You decide what you think. I gotta say I’m really impressed, I really like this gun.
