Ok, when it comes to home-defense, hunting in dense cover or out of the three self-defense, SHTF, the Zombie Apocalypse, practical shooting out to two to three hundred yards or just simply a fun factor of ten, nothing, nothing beats a good PDW. I have a particular attraction to PDWs, mostly just because they’re crazy stupid fun, but also everything that I just said. I’ve been doing a lots of reviews on them, mostly the 9 mil, you know, that that’s been my big PDW, mostly because in normal times the cost and then with that fun factor you need some kind of cheap and nine’s about as small as you’re gonna get and still be effective for you, you know, everything that we just talked about. I got a few 556’s but especially the 300 Blackout and I didn’t know an awesome one on the rattler, I love my Sig Rattler in 300. I’ve got it SBR, it rocks, but, guys, the price tag on that is huge. So, what I wanted to cover is the 300 Blackout, you know, being the most effective. I wanna show you what you can do with a PSA seven or seven a half inch upper in a little of imagination. So, you start with a basic seven inch or seven and a half inch PSA 300 Blackout upper. Find the cheapest lower, whatever brace, you know, you wanna put on it, whatever your preference is and then let me show you what I did and have on here.

It’s kind of dark, need to switch my glasses here before we start shooting. Real fast, my one point attachment, my quick detach sling here from midway, I think I paid like 14 bucks for this thing, it’s awesome and then the attachment up here, I can’t remember the name of it, it’s in the specs and tecs. I like that because where it allows me to attach and then I’m not dependent on whatever I put on there for stock and I think everything else was on specs and tec.
The Bravo, we’re gonna use that at the distance when we move out to a 100, 200, you know, even 50 yards. Back here it’s not gonna work well so. Back here this is why I’ve got the Romeo and I’ve had I lot of people ask, you know, you’ve got mounting up here because I can’t put my cheek on it. With here I just simply turn the rifle. For me it feels faster, it’s more comfortable, you know, and it’s a preference so that’s what we’re gonna use, we’re gonna use this one and then we’re gonna use the laser and there we’re gonna have some other fun. Now, before anyone comments, ok, this is an ATF registered SBR lower, ok, so that’s why I got a vertical grip on it.
Ok, now I’m not gonna start over here, that’s too close and easy. This is zeroed at 50. Let’s just see what we can do here doing a little transitioning. Nice!
I love my Virirdian X5L. I’ve got the green laser on here. What I wanna do is I’m gonna shoot it, not from the shoulder, but just holding it from the chest because I don’t need to look down the sights. Let’s give this a go, see how fast we can transition. You gotta love a green laser. Here’s another one, guys, I got my can, you know, suppressor silencer, they’re not silencers. This one is a SilencerCo Omega, I believe, in the 30 cal. I think I’m gonna go back and use the green laser again just because it’s entirely too much fun and I’m gonna try doing a little rapid transition a little closer up here. Ok, so I’ve been told I can pull the trigger really fast, I got a good trigger finger. Let’s check it out. You wanna see that again?
We’ve got a gorgeous morning, it’s cold out here. Real quick, before I do anything else I wanna show you with that Viridian X5L what we can do at a hundred yards and I’m not gonna even look down my Bravo other than maybe to find the dot. Let’s just see if we can hit the steel and I can see the dot there, ok, I gonna move it actually a little bit closer so you can see that I’m not looking down the sight just gonna put that green dot on there and… I wonder if we can see it at 200. I can see it through the scope, but I can’t see it with my naked eye. Let’s go, let’s do a few more. Let’s use the Bravo, see how fast we can get them off on the Bravo. That was a piece of cake at 100, let’s go 200. Remember, we’re using, what, seven, seven and a half inch barrel here. Let’s see what we can do. Having some problems.
Nice, It is dropping. We’re gonna reach up there at three. This BDS is for pretty much for the 556 and with this short barrel we’re dropping so let’s… I’m gonna give it a guess that maybe we’re at four. There we go. I’m gonna have to switch mags. I’m using my Mn2 and it works great with the 556 but for whatever reason we’re having problems with this 300 Blackout with a 10-round. We had no issues with the 30-round. I might switch back to that and see. Ok, actually I had a, I got a pro mag that was laying in there. This is 20 a 20 rounder. For whatever reason I’ve had issues with 300 Blackout with 10-round mags, I have not so much with the 30 but let’s give this a go, we’re gonna reach up there at 400 and see what we can do. All right, guys. You can’t beat that with a PDW banging steel at 400 yards. I was using on the Bravo 5 I was using the dot right above 600. I’ve got to try 500. I’ve got to grab some more ammo. I just, I gotta do 400 again, see how fast we can get them off and then I’ll move to 500. Man, you can’t beat that, you know seven and a half or seven inch barrel on a PDW at 400 yards, I drop the mic and I walk away from the bench. So, you know me, I gotta push it. You think we can hit 500? Only one way to find out. I gotta say, this does say a lot about Federal’s American Eagle here. There’s no way we would be doing this without some quality ammo. Hopefully I can get some more of this from Federal. If you’re listening I can really use some more 300 Blackout. Anyway, let’s reach up there at 500 way up on the hill and see if we can get this. Now I gonna even be off. The BDC here so it’s gonna be tough. Ok, so my 600 line is about 4 feet above the target. Let’s see if we can do that again.OK, so 400, 400 was easy, 500, it was pushing it but, hey, for what we’ve got that is outstanding.
